Its owner, Bill Carver, served as a firefighter in Albuquerque for 22 years and has a background in the craft beer world. Kamp, a 2010 Belmont University graduate, hopes to capitalize on the current craze for craft beer by opening Turtle Anarchy Brewing Co in Nashville. Among other things, the microbrewery plans to add a canning operation to the property. The brewery's name is a nod to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which have been causing some controversy. However, the name is not intended to be offensive. It is a play on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' popularity, and Kamp hopes to capitalize on this.
